Glitch Art

humphreysashley_glitchtriangulationsmallI liked the glitch art project because both of the filters applied were appealing to the eye. I liked the one on the right more than the one on the left because I think that it looked more interesting. It also made my brain have to think more to put the pieces together to figure out what the image was. The glitch on the left was also cool, but not as appealing as the one on the right because it made it look like there was something wrong with the photo rather than making it look like something had been done to make it look good. A possible use for these glitch filters would be if one needed to make something look distorted or maybe old-fashioned.

Filter Grid Polyptych

humphreysashley_filtergridsmallThis project was cool to see all the different things that can be done to an image. Some filters look really good while others look absolutely terrible. My favorite filters were the top left and the far right in the middle. The top left turns the photo into dots of color and it is the most appealing to my eye. The far right in the middle row turns the photo to a painting texture which also has a nice look to it. My least favorite filter was the one used in the top left which pixelates the image. I do not think that it looks good because it makes the image look low quality and blurry.

Surreal Room

humphreysashley_surrealroomsmallMy first experience with one point perspective was fun because it was interesting to see that I am capable of creating a three dimensional looking image. The steps were surprisingly very simple to follow and I could add my own creativity into it as well. Transforming the images to place on the walls of the room in photoshop was intriguing because I was able to make them actually look like wall paper which added to the realness of the room. My favorite part was finding images that fit the theme of my room which was fashion and design. I think that the best part of my room is the glittery floor boards because they add to the surreal concept which was the point of the project.
